You publish a post or Reel that asks followers to comment a keyword. When someone comments that keyword, CrossPostingPal sends them one private message with your content and can optionally post a public reply like 'Sent! Check your DMs'.

Which Instagram accounts does this work with?

You need an Instagram business or creator account connected to CrossPostingPal through the Instagram authorization flow, with the requested messaging and comment permissions granted.

Can I send multiple automated DMs in a row?

No — and that's intentional. Instagram allows one automated private reply per comment. Once the person replies to your DM, the conversation continues normally and you can message them directly.

How does keyword matching work?

Matching is case-insensitive and ignores extra spaces and punctuation. By default it matches the keyword as a whole word, so 'guide' will not trigger on an unrelated word that merely contains those letters. A 'contains' mode is also available.

Does this work on every post at once?

Automations are attached to a specific post or Reel, so you stay in control of which content triggers a reply. Apply-to-all-posts behavior is not part of this feature.
