Connect through remote MCP

Take your Codex release from changelog to social announcement.

Your coding agent already has the release context. Ask it to turn the public changes into an announcement, check the claims against the diff and prepare the posts in CrossPostingPal.

No credit card required.

Choose a time after review. CrossPostingPal publishes scheduled posts at that time.

A publishing workflow for Codex

  1. Step 1

Use the release as the source

Give Codex the public changelog and release URL. Ask it to exclude unreleased work, internal details and claims the release does not support.

  2. Step 2

    Review the announcement

Approve the copy and destinations before any publishing tool is called. Connect CrossPostingPal to the Codex environment doing the work.

  3. Step 3

Schedule after the release is live

Have Codex create drafts, then schedule the approved announcement for a specific time after deployment. Keep the returned post IDs for status checks.

How to use Codex with CrossPostingPal

  1. Connect social accounts in CrossPostingPal, then open Settings → Developer / AI Agents and create a personal access token.
  2. Make that token available as CPP_MCP_TOKEN in the environment running Codex. Keep it out of your repository and prompts.
  3. Add the remote MCP configuration below to your Codex configuration, then restart the client if needed.
  4. Ask Codex to list your social accounts, create one announcement draft and return the post ID. Check that draft before scheduling.

Add your source material and review the result before scheduling.

Use the public changelog and release URL to draft an X announcement and a Bluesky announcement. Verify each feature claim against the shipped changes and omit internal details. Show me the copy first. After approval, list my CrossPostingPal accounts, create separate drafts and return their post IDs. Do not schedule or publish yet.

Before you connect

Does a local MCP setup also configure a cloud coding task?

No. The MCP server and credentials must be available in the environment running the task. Configure that environment separately; do not assume a local token is transferred.

Does shipping code automatically publish a post?

This workflow requires an explicit request to create or schedule posts. CrossPostingPal does not watch your repository or deploy events.

Which social networks can I connect?

New connections are currently available for Instagram, TikTok, X, Bluesky, Mastodon, Dribbble. Instagram, TikTok and Dribbble require media; scheduling and publishing support varies by account. Check the account capabilities before choosing a destination.

Does creating a draft publish anything?

A draft stays unpublished until you schedule or publish it. Scheduling authorizes publication at the selected time; it does not add a mandatory approval step. Review first, then schedule. Immediate MCP publishing requires the separate posts:publish permission.
